Heffelfinger Research Team
We are a collaborative research group led by Dr. Levi Heffelfinger of the North Texas Research Program of the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Based in the Texas Panhandle, the Heffelfinger Research Team addresses wildlife conservation and management needs throughout the southern Great Plains, southwest deserts, and beyond.
Our Research Mission
We employ natural resource theory to applied practices of conservation and management. To do this, we focus on the movement, demography, and nutritional ecology of species and how they interact with the landscape.

PUBLICATIONSThe Heffelfinger Research Team values the dissemination of research findings through peer-reviewed publication. We aim to publish work that advances our understanding of the natural world while addressing directed wildlife management issues. |
OUTREACHScientific outreach does not end with a peer-reviewed manuscript. We focus on reporting our findings through professional, public, and educational outlets to reach a wide array of wildlife enthusiasts. |
